Do I need to replace my cameras?
In most cases, no. Recognis connects to recorders and IP cameras through the industry-standard path. It's the same path your phone app uses to show your footage when you're away from the site, which is why most equipment works. Before any proposal, our team tests your recorder and tells you what it found.
Do I need any extra equipment?
All you need is one computer dedicated to Recognis, connected to the same network as your recorder. It is sized according to how many cameras you have and what will be analysed, and we advise you on the right setup before installation.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on how many cameras you have and what you want to measure. Recognis was designed to be an affordable investment that returns far more value to the business than it costs, turning the footage you already have into information that matters to your operation.
Is the system online?

Yes. The Recognis dashboard is online and can be opened in a browser from anywhere — on a computer, tablet or phone. Just sign in to follow your operation’s up-to-date indicators.

The computer installed at your business works on its own, with nothing to operate. It stays connected to your cameras, does the processing and sends the information to the dashboard. You only open the dashboard when you want to look at the results.

Does footage leave my recorder?
No. The recordings stay on your recorder. Recognis doesn't send the full video to our server: only small crops and the scene images needed for the analysis. Those records are also kept in the dashboard to show where each number came from. Storing the recordings remains your recorder’s job.
What if the internet goes down?
Nothing is lost. If the internet goes down, Recognis carries on processing the images and stores the data on the computer at your business. As soon as the connection is back, everything is sent automatically and the dashboard fills in the period that was missing. You don't have to do anything.
How long until it starts paying off?
The first results appear the moment Recognis is set up. From then on it analyses the images and the numbers are already there in the dashboard. After that everything updates automatically, with nobody operating the system.
What if a camera goes down?
The dashboard shows how long each camera was offline and marks the numbers for that period as understated. It also spots a frozen image — the case where the recorder still answers but the picture has stopped.
